Artificial Intelligence operations dashboard
This is the control surface for everything we do. We design, train and deploy machine learning systems for mid-sized UK companies. No slides decks. Working models.
We replaced three manual forecasting spreadsheets with a single prediction engine. Took five weeks from first call to live dashboard. Head of logistics, Midlands distribution firm
Their team sat in our office for two days, understood the data, then built a classifier that cut false positives by 40%. Compliance lead, Birmingham fintech
Capability map
Each row is a real service we deliver. We do not list things we might do one day. If it is on this table, we have shipped it at least twice.
| Capability | What you get | Typical timeline | Tech |
|---|---|---|---|
| Demand prediction | Daily or weekly forecasts for inventory, staffing or revenue. Outputs feed directly into your existing tools via API. | 4 to 7 weeks | Time seriesPython |
| Document classification | Incoming emails, PDFs or scanned forms sorted and routed without human triage. Accuracy targets agreed before work starts. | 3 to 5 weeks | NLPTransformers |
| Anomaly detection | Continuous monitoring of transactions, sensor readings or user behaviour. Alerts go to Slack, email or your incident tool. | 5 to 8 weeks | AutoencodersStatistical |
| Recommendation engine | Product or content suggestions embedded in your app or site. A/B tested against your current baseline before full rollout. | 6 to 10 weeks | Collaborative filteringEmbeddings |
| Data pipeline engineering | Clean, tested, scheduled data flows from your sources into a warehouse or lakehouse. We hand over runbooks and monitoring. | 3 to 6 weeks | dbtAirflowBigQuery |
| Computer vision inspection | Defect detection on production lines, or image tagging for asset management. Camera selection guidance included. | 8 to 14 weeks | CNNEdge deploy |
Client journey board
Every engagement moves through these lanes. We do not skip steps. Rushing past data validation is the single biggest reason AI projects fail.
Scoping call
Forty-five minutes. We look at your data, your problem and your existing tools. If AI is the wrong answer, we say so.
Data audit
We connect to a sample of your data, profile it, and write a short report on quality, gaps and feasibility. This takes roughly a week.
Prototype sprint
Two to three weeks of model building. You see intermediate results in a shared notebook so there are no surprises at the end.
Validation
We test on held-out data your team selects. Accuracy, latency and fairness metrics are documented before anything goes live.
Deployment and handover
The model runs in your cloud account, not ours. We write monitoring alerts, a runbook and train your engineers to retrain the model when data drifts.
Why smaller firms benefit most from AI right now
Large enterprises started their machine learning programmes five or six years ago. They have dedicated teams. Smaller companies often assume the same infrastructure cost applies to them. It does not.
Cloud compute is billed by the second. Open-source model libraries are mature. A demand-forecasting model that would have cost a six-figure consulting engagement in 2019 can now be built, validated and deployed for a fraction of that, in weeks rather than quarters.
The constraint is rarely budget. It is knowing which problem to solve first, and having someone who can look at your data honestly and say whether a model will actually outperform a well-tuned spreadsheet. Sometimes it will not, and that is useful information too.
We work almost exclusively with companies between 20 and 500 employees. That is the range where a single well-placed model can change an entire department's output without requiring a platform team to maintain it.
Is this a good fit?
AI is not magic. It works well under specific conditions. Check whether your situation matches.
You have historical data — at least a few thousand rows of the thing you want to predict or classify. If you have less, we can discuss augmentation strategies, but there are limits.
The decision repeats — if you only make this choice once a year, a model is overkill. We look for decisions made daily, weekly or in real time.
You can measure success — there is a number you want to move: error rate, processing time, revenue per user, defect count. Vague goals produce vague models.
Not a fit if you need a chatbot skin on ChatGPT — we do not resell API wrappers. If your problem is solved by prompting a large language model, you do not need us.
